Where transparency meets sustainability action.

Nurturing a sustainable future means making planet-friendly decisions guided by science and focused on a healthier planet. It’s about protecting and restoring the environment, minimizing our footprint, and driving business growth in harmony.

Together, let’s turn transparency into tangible action for a better tomorrow.

Curtis & Associates, including Petrolink, is thrilled to announce its fourth consecutive year of Carbon Footprint ISO 14064-1:2018 verification. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. With the expertise of Carbonology®, a CDP-accredited provider, we verified our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) data for January 1st–December 31st, 2024, covering 100% of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

This rigorous process ensures the accuracy and credibility of our GHG reporting, providing stakeholders with reliable insights. Going forward, our verified GHG data will inform decisions on reduction initiatives.

Goal:

The objective is to estimate our GHG emissions assessment and address the carbon emissions related to Curtis & Associates’ activities in nine of its operational units (Petrolink Group and operational project units), using 2022 as the base year. Note that 2021 was our first year of emissions inventory. C&A has set two targets: reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 with SME Climate Hub and cutting absolute greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030. Adopting a comprehensive GHG reporting approach will ensure transparency on C&A’s progress toward these targets.

Criteria

Most importantly, for supporting sustainability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global climate change.

The verification report represents a faithful, true, and fair account of C&A GHG emissions regarding stakeholders’ commercial expectations and transparency, adhering to the GHG accounting and reporting principles:

  • Relevance
Based on stakeholders needs considering C&A characteristics, organizations structures, the business context, and relationships.

  • Completeness
Accounting for all emissions within the inventory boundary, making sure emissions that require estimations are properly based on reliable sources from climate-related institutions such as governments, intergovernmental organizations, and environmental agencies.

  • Consistency
To ensure appropriately documenting and be able to compare data to track emissions over time with consistency based on inventory boundaries, calculation methodologies and respective accounting approaches.

  • Transparency
Make sure to have an independent external verification to help with transparency and compliance. Maintain clear documentations for audit purposes and provide references for methodologies and data sources. Ensure to disclose emissions information clearly, factually, and neutrally, considering emission factors that are not applicable or with insignificance to emissions to the C&A.

  • Accuracy
Ensure to reduce, as far as possible, any uncertainties and use data from reliable sources to work on factual values for calculations.

Summary of considerations to mitigate emissions:

  • Business travel
Comparing the impact of different travel options by avoiding unblended fuel or fossil fuel and seek for available options for renewable fuel as the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), or biofuel. Including by evaluating airline net-zero emission terms.

  • Purchased Energy
Purchase from energy renewable providers, avoiding as possible fossil sources.

  • Stationary Combustion (Own Boiler)
Search for other possible renewable alternatives, considering boilers designed to improve efficiency towards net-zero.

  • Energy Management
Invest in energy management system to optimize energy consumption by monitoring and controlling energy assets and maximize efficiency.

  • Policy and Actions
Establish clear objectives, policies, and training programs within Petrolink Group to drive effective GHG reduction strategies and embed sustainability practices.

  • Gold Teak ESG
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG project that was set up in 2005 – long term project).
