Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a globally dispersed ICT team supporting all Petrolink activities worldwide
- In charge of the overall IT infrastructure globally to guarantee high levels of service to all users (externally and internally)
- Ensure all core IT activity is performed in line with procedure and policy, including but not limited to patching, maintenance, capacity planning and upgrades
- Define and prioritized activities for the department
- Review design changes to meet current and future system requirements, participate in change management oversight process
- Providing troubleshooting leadership support to wider ICT team
- Identify potential added value from new technology, new approaches or new systems that will deliver a benefit to the company
- Take leadership in various IT processes such as problem management, release management, capacity management, resource management
- Manage relationships with key IT vendors for software and services
- Analyze potential and existing Information Security or Cyber Security threats and provide actions or recommendations to overcome the risk or remediate the threat
- Project manage and take responsibility for definition, planning, documentation and implementation of IT projects
- Proactively implement IT policies, help to define and revise policies as the business and environment evolves
- Acting as a point of contact for IT matters from managers and leads from other departments
- Perform other job-related duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or other relevant subject; 3 years’ experience in similar role preferred
- Must have the ability to work in an environment that requires quick turnaround, with frequent interaction with senior management and other departments, requiring diplomacy, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and professionalism
- This position requires confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision making
- Must be confident managing staff in different locations and time zones
- Must be commercially aware
Minimum Knowledge, Competency and Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing medium sized IT department in a multi‐national company
- Well versed in virtualization technology such as Nutanix, VMWare, Citrix, Hyper‐V
- Well versed in Microsoft Enterprise technologies such as Windows Server, Office365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and SQL server
- Well versed in network and application security technology such as IPS, WAF, DLP, end point encryption, CA
- Well versed in Microsoft Azure or other cloud hosting providers
- Previous hands-on experience in network and server administration
- Experience in Palo Alto firewall devices would be an advantage
- Relevant experience in design and implementation of data center technologies such as server, network equipment, storage
- Relevant experience in desktop support / front end support, such as ticketing system, remote support, helpdesk
- Relevant experience remotely managing an ICT team across several time zones
- Familiar with ITIL processes and ISO 27001 requirements
